About the brand
Semai Hijau is a business located in Bekasi, Indonesia focusing on hydroponic based plants (including but not limited to spinach, kailan and bok choy). With their 700+ followers, they have managed to send their vegetables throughout different cities around Bekasi.

Challenge

  • Develop a distinctive brand identity amid the surge of small businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • Communicate the brand's transparent growing process.

  • Reflect the business's commitment to minimizing packaging waste without compromising shelf appeal.

Approach

  • Created a modular identity system built around five core elements: color, typography, photography, graphic elements and texture.

  • Used varying shades of green and seedling-inspired motifs to reinforce the brand name while conveying freshness and growth.

Outcome

  • Delivered a cohesive visual identity across packaging, branding, and social media.

  • Established a scalable design system that supports future products and marketing collateral.

  • Created a brand experience that reinforces freshness, sustainability and transparency at every customer touchpoint.
